Each Program Area Leader (PAL) has responsibility for a cross-coalition effort. The PAL should champion the area and the projects in the area. Success as a Program Area Leader requires active communication with the Governing Board and the Institutional Activity Leaders, as well as their PAL committee and specific project leaders. The PAL actively participates in the decision process for the program area. In all efforts, the PAL facilitates achieving coalition goals and tasks as articulated by the Gateway Governing Board. The Governing Board Liaison works proactively with the Program Area Leader as planner and advocate to the Governing Board.
