The National Visiting Committee (NVC) has been composed of leaders in the corporate and educational communities. During the Coalition’s National Science Foundation supported years (1992-2003) the Committee provided advice and guidance to the Principal Investigator, Governing Board, and project teams. It also provided an outreach capacity from the project to constituents of the engineering enterprise including educational institutions, business, industry, government and professional societies. Through its feedback to the National Science Foundation the Committee also has served as a source of advice and counsel to the NSF’s Engineering Education Coalitions Program. The Committee members volunteer their expertise without remuneration and provide a valuable service to the Coalition, the engineering education community, and the National Science Foundation.
