|This chapter of
Cadkey projects builds on skills needed to do 2-D drawings with CAD and lays
a foundation for more advanced applications later.
|Some things to
remind or alert students about include:
|1)Do not just “read and do” . Think about each operation as you do
it. You will need to do operations
independent of the book for the second DWG.
|2) Construction (temporary) lines can be very
helpful. Particularly when move to
more complex shapes and designs.
|3) Note that they will be using the MODIFY, TRIM
functions. They may or may not need it
today, but TRIM or really TRIM or EXTEND.
Can be very helpful.
|4) Include centerlines for holes (all three
views), even though they are not shown in Figure 4-15. We will need them for next chapter. Do these by direct construction of lines is
|6) Print with updated title block.
