|This course will describe the concept of "QUALITY" - Its components and its impact on manufacture.|
|We will review the underlying principles of Probability and Statistics that govern the techniques employed.|
|"Quality Control" is the sum of methods used to measure, compare and adjust manufacturing elements in order to maintain a given level of product uniformity.|
|Various methods of Quality Control will be described: Control charts, variables and attributes charts, producer's and consumer's risk, acceptance sampling, process capability, etc.|
|Later, we will discuss methods for Quality Improvement, ways of choosing variables of importance and their specific values, so as to maximize the
performance of a product or process.
