Prerequisite: Appl. Math. E3102 or Appl. Math. E4200. Numerical methods for solving initial and boundary value problems for partial differential equations. Convergence and stability. Application to problems from various fields, including fluid dynamics, electromagnetic theory, solid mechanics, etc. Direct methods for variational problems and for integral equations.
