To educate students in environmental systems analysis of industrial operations for the use of conversion of resources.


Producing research agenda on Industrial Ecology, Principal investigator for a report, commissioned by US Department of Energy, incorporating concepts and comments from a national group of environmental professionals from academia and government. Serving as Co-Principal investigator for project funded by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation examining merits of profiling the health and environmental risks for individual American communities. Published project summary was widely distributed to US state and local governments, as well as at the federal level.
