Professor Leonard has been at Columbia for 40 years. Professor Leonard is the director of the Artificial Organs Research Laboratory and the coordinator of the bioengineering program. His research interests include characterization of porous structure, imaging of porous structures, immuno-physics, cell-cell interactions, photochemical reactions in biological systems, suspension photo reactors and artificial organs.
