Daniel Bienstock

Courses Taught

In the past, Professor Bienstock has taught undergraduate courses on Introduction to Mathematical Programming, Applied Integer Programming, Dynamic Programming, and Computer Graphics for IEOR Applications.

"I am currently working on optimization problems related to network layout and routing, in particular the fast approximate solution of difficult, large-scale network design problems. My broader research interests concern Optimization and Parallel Computing."Professor Bienstock's research focuses on computationally intensive problems arising in telecommunications, logistics and finance, particularly in the area of optimization. He is also interested in practical applications of optimization techniques and has consulted for several companies in this regard.
