Course Information

Prerequisite: An introductory course in computer programming; Economics W1005; a capstone course in design, e.g., M.E. E3410 or IEOR E3800-E3801. Corequisite: Stat.-IEOR W4150. In-depth understanding of the fundamental concepts in design and integration of innovative manufacturing systems. Emphasis on understanding the effects on productivity, qualitatively and quantitatively, through the advancement of manufacturing technology. New manufacturing procedures and strategies for economical manufacturing and operations integration. Students will solve two major problems of U.S. industry, encouraging the propagation of new technology manufacturing.
