" Over the years I have been here I have taught Industrial Economics, Financial Engineering I, Probability and Statistics, Production Management, Dynamic Programming, and Inventory Theory."
Professor Gallego's research interests are Inventory control, Yield management Production planning, Scheduling Semiconductor manufacturing. "I am interested in developing mathematical models of problems that arise in practice in production management, marketing, and finance. My goal is to develop insights into the problems. When the problems are not easy to solve, either because they are computationally intractable or because the solution is unintuitive or complicated, I like to develop intuitive and easy to compute heuristic solutions that are probably close to optimal.
