Viewing Entries: Page Viewing Window Display of the contents of your ELN happens via a Browser window. Open this window simply by double-clicking on the icon of a page, note, or attachment in the table of contents. It appears in a browser window separate from the one you should have minimized during the log-in process, and shows the detailed view of the names and descriptions of all notes as well as their attachments for a single page.
That you can view a page with its entries collapsed, or with its entries expanded, is unique to the ELN. With this function one is able to choose whether or not to have the metadata displayed in the representation.
Selecting - Select an entry in the Table of Contents by clicking on its name. The item's name will appear in the status area. Once a notebook entry is selected, you can Add Entries within it, or get a detailed view of its Properties (from the notebook File menu).
Collapsing and Expanding - Expand and collapse entries in the Contents by clicking on the plus ("+" to expand) and minus buttons ("-" to collapse) beside the name. In the PageView, you can expand and collapse the display of data files and images by clicking on the plus ("+" to expand) and minus buttons ("-" to collapse) beside the file name.
Shown below is the Collapsed version of the Lab1 chapter in the Table of Contents and one of its open pages, both are in there collapsed form, so that you see as little as possible. If you pass your mouse over the image you will see the Expanded version.
