Descriptions of specific technology enhanced assessment tools are presented including Drexel’s Course Evaluation System, Ohio State’s use of WEBCT, and University of Pittsburgh’s On-line Student Survey System (OS3). How technology enhances program and classroom assessment is discussed. Such issues as response rates on web-based surveys, computer-based survey development and validity, and concerns over confidentiality and security are presented. This workshop has been offered at both ASEE 2001 and the Coalitions’ Conference in Clemson, SC.
