Bioinstrumentation modules were developed, consisting of (a) chapters covering the fundamentals of acoustics, physiology of the human ear and psychoacoustics, principles and applications of measuring instruments, and applications of ultrasonics in the medical field; and (b) descriptions of applications in medical imaging (e.g. CT, MRI, NMR, Ultrasound), laboratory design (low, moderate, and high budget versions), laboratory experiments, ultrasound and videofluorographic images (both on videotape and digitized in TIFF format on ZIP cartridge), NIH Image public domain image processing software), introductory imaging projects (includes step-by-step instructions).
