Statistical methods are germane to every discipline of engineering. Traditionally each of the departments has its own version of statistics in the upper curriculum. The purpose of this course is to treat the theory in a common class and then to apply the principles in discipline-specific recitation sections. Faculty from four departments (Chemical, Electrical, Civil and Mechanical) have prepared this text on the fundamental principles and applications of statistics for use in a common upper level engineering statistics course.
