Outreach to K-12 students is an important factor in increasing interest in engineering education. Through it work with the Gateway Engineering Education Coalition, NJIT has worked with middle- and high-school teachers, training them in topics of interest to students that would select engineering as their college major. This manual contains materials used in a two-week summer course for middle school teachers. The manual covers topics in electricity and magnetism, as well as general engineering and basic digital logic. It includes lecture notes and laboratory experiences that were used in the course and can be replicated in the students' middle schools
