Search for keywords across the Everglades Information Network and Digital Library

The Everglades Online Search Guide and Thesaurus are undergoing a major revision due to rapid growth and changes in the EIN& DL project. We expect new editions in Fall 1998.

Technical Requirements for Using EIN& DL materials

The documents and images in the EDL collections are provided in a variety of formats appropriate for electonic storage and transmission and searching.These formats include:

HTML 3.2

Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) v.2.1

GIF image format

JPEG image format

All of these formats, with the exception of PDF, display automatically in any of the common Web browsers, such as Netscape or Internet Explorer. For PDF documents, you need to use a special reader program, the Acrobat Reader, which is available from Adobe. The Adobe reader will not only display all PDF documents, with text and images, black and white or color, but also provides the capability of searching a document for keywords, zoom in or out for diferent views, and much more.
